The Inclusive Communities Fund
A legacy of the Commonwealth Games.
Following an incredible response from organisations across the West Midlands, The Inclusive Communities Fund received over £57 million in funding requests from over 800 applications since its launch in November 2023.
The Heart of England Community Foundation aims to notify successful applications from March 2024.
Creating a lasting legacy for the West Midlands:
The Inclusive Communities Fund was a direct result of the budget surplus from the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Through the Fund, £9 million has been awarded to community-based organisations across the West Midlands, enabling access to exciting opportunities and fresh funding.
Empowering Communities
The Inclusive Communities Fund is supporting local communities to propose and implement solutions to real issues in their areas, allowing local people to drive positive change.
Working in Partnership
The Fund was administered by the Heart of England Community Foundation alongside United By 2022, who engaged and supported community organisations to successfully apply for a slice of the funding.
Continuing Support for Unsuccessful Applicants
With such a huge response from the community, inevitably some funding applications will not be successful.
United By 2022 will be hosting webinars to help community organisations develop their knowledge and expertise of the funding landscape. Our aim is to improve your chances of success in the future.
