Are you 7-14 years old? Can you create a work of art that breaks down barriers and inspires all young people in your community to participate in sport?
Meet Ellie Simmonds who is going to tell you all about the competition!
Your artwork will help to break down barriers by challenging stereotypes, showcasing
under-represented minorities, educating the public about diversity in sport, and highlighting amazing athletes and para athletes.
Closing date: 29th March 2024
The Brief
Create a work of art that celebrates diversity in sport and encourages all young people to take part in sport!
Details of entry
- You can work in any media and style (a poster, painting, photo, video, audio clip, sculpture etc. )
- You can work as individuals, or as a group. – Your work must showcase your creative voice.
- You can add an audio description.
Prizes!
Winning prize: A visit to your school from an athlete and tickets to a cultural or sport event in your local area!
Prizes for 2nd and 3rd place: A visit to your school from an athlete!

There are 3 ways you can enter
Enter Online
- Complete the online form
- Attach photos or scans of the entries (with accompanying audio descriptions if entrants have done them)
Enter by Email
Print out the entry forms and complete them.
Take a photo or scan all student entries.
Email the following to youth@unitedby2022.com :
- One teacher entry form
- Student entry forms (one to be filled out by each student to go alongside their entry)
- Photo or scan of the entries
- Audio description worksheet for each entry (if done)
Enter by Post
You will need to send:
- One teacher entry form
